Twins are amazing and actually pretty cool, and sometimes, also pretty weird. Like really really weird!
There are some really bizarre stories out there that revolve around twins and whether you call them supernatural, nature, or pure coincidence, these stories will make you be in awe of every twin you meet from now on. It indeed shows that there is a bigger and inexplicable force at play in our universe.
1. The Twins Who Are Half Brothers
Eleven months after twins, Justin and Jordan Washington were born, Mia Washington, the mother began to investigate after noticing her sons had different facial features. In an amazing twist of fate, the twins turned out to be half brothers, born of different fathers after a paternity test was carried out. Mia however, admitted that she had cheated on her husband and been impregnated by both men within 48 hours of each other.
2. The Inseparable Twins Who Have One Boyfriend Together

Meet the twin sisters, Anna and Lucy who share everything ranging from a bed, car, phone, job, Facebook account and even have one boyfriend. The twins disclosed that they have never been separated from one another as they do everything together, yeah even pee at the same time. Their 31-year-old boyfriend won the hearts of both girls after they added him on Facebook on the suggestion of mutual friends.
At first, the electrical mechanic had trouble balancing the demands of two girlfriends, but very early on into their 18-month relationship he learned the attention he paid to one, had to be paid to the other.
3. The Twins Who Are Black And White
Lucy and Maria Aylmer, from Gloucester are non-identical twins.
Twin sisters, one of which was born white, the other black, revealed they have had to produce their birth certificates to friends in order to prove that they are in fact related. Due to a quirk of their mixed-race parentage, one has straight ginger hair, a fair complexion and blue eyes. The other has far darker skin and her eyes are brown.
Lucy and Maria Aylmer from Gloucester say when they walk down the street they are mistaken for being just friends. But amazingly they are twins – even though Lucy is white and Maria is black.
4. The Twin brothers Who Were Killed On The Same Road, Two Hours Apart
In 2002, Seventy-year-old twin brothers died within hours of one another after separate accidents on the same road in northern Finland. The first of the twins died when he was hit by a lorry while riding his bike in Raahe, 600 kilometres north of the capital, Helsinki. About two hours later, his brother crossed the same road on his bicycle and was also hit and killed by a lorry. He died just 1.5km from the spot where his brother was killed.
Additionally, as the second accident occurred just two hours after the first, the second brother hadn’t even learned that his brother had been killed earlier (thereby eliminating suicide as a possible explanation) and making this a truly historic coincidence.
5. The Woman Who Married Her Twin Sister’s Killer
On Valentine’s day in 2013, 22-year-old Edith Casas from Argentina married boyfriend Victor Cingolani, the same man charged in the murder of Casas’ twin sister and model, Johana Casas. Although Edith insisted that Cingolani was innocent and had nothing to do with the 2010 shooting of her own twin sister, the young man is currently serving a 13-year sentence behind bars for the brutal crime. The couple, who tied the knot in a private ceremony in the same city where Johana was murdered, was met by a mob of angry protestors, who bombarded the newlyweds with stones and eggs outside of the register office. Cingolani, dressed in disguise, was quickly transferred back to his cell at the local jail after the ceremony.
The family who were grieving the loss of one twin daughter doubled their grief — as Edith is symbolically dead to them. The twins’ father, Valentin Casas, summed it up like this:
”For me, they are both dead. Johana is with God and Edith is with the Devil.”
6. Twin Brothers Married Twin Sisters, Produced Twin Babies
The sets of twins, from Texas, fell in love, went on a double date to Las Vegas, and won thousands of dollars at poker. Sensing they were on a winning streak, they got engaged on the same day, married at a joint ceremony (officially “quarternary marriages”), and built a pair of homes, side by side. As if that wasn’t enough, they gave birth to two sets of twins on the same day.
7. The Twins Who Were Separated But Shared Remarkable Similar Lives
The most incredible story is that of Jim Springer and Jim Lewis from Ohio in the USA-in fact, the ‘Jim Twins’ made headline news across the USA when they finally met up at the age of thirty-nine. Born to a poor immigrant woman in 1939, they were adopted by different families when they were a few days old, and both were named Jim by their new families. This was just the first in an almost unbelievable number of similarities in their lives.
Labelled ‘the Jim Twins’, the story of two twin boys raised apart is one that amazes everyone who hears it. Adopted out to different parents at just four weeks of age, the twins were reunited at age 39, never having known they were twins. It was the similarities between the two that shocked the most; both boys had been named ‘Jim’ by their adoptive families, both had sons that they had named James Allan, both had a pet dog named ‘Toy’, both hated spelling but excelled in maths, both worked in law enforcement and both had married women named Betty, divorced her, and married women named Linda. Hmm, creepy.
8. The Psychic Twins Who Predicted The September 11 Attacks
Linda and Terry Jamison are American identical twins, professionally known as The Psychic Twins. They are best known for the prediction they made in 1999 on the Art Bell radio show. While being interviewed, The Psychic Twins predicted that there would be a terrorist attack on federal buildings and the World Trade Center in 2002. The actual quote is, “We are seeing terrorist attacks on federal government – excuse me, federal buildings. Particularly South Carolina or Georgia, by July 2002. And also the New York Trade Center – the World Trade Center in 2002, with something, with a terrorist attack.” However, the predicted date was incorrect as the terrorist attacks actually occurred on September 11, 2001.
According to an article in Woman’s Own magazine, and a documentary on A&E, they also predicted that John F. Kennedy Jr. would die by plane. It was also predicted from the Psychic Twins that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony would not stay together as a couple on La Fusion TV in 2009.
9. The Twins Who Were Involved in a Perfect Crime
In 2009, three thieves broke into Berlin’s luxury department store Kaufhaus des Westens, universally known as KaDeWe, and stole $6.8 million worth of fine jewelry and watches. DNA evidence at the scene pointed to identical twins known as Hassan and Abbas O. While police believe at least one of them was involved in the crime, the 27-year-old men were both released when their DNA was found so similar that neither brother could be exclusively tied to the burglary. Though police continued the investigation, neither Hassan nor Abbas was ever found guilty.
10. The Robot Couple
In Yiwu, China, the regular customers of one restaurant were baffled at how the married couple that ran it could continuously be at the eatery despite the fact that it was open 21 hours each day. In fact, locals had jokingly nicknamed the owners “the robot couple” as it seemed that they never rested.
However, those who knew the couple also knew their secret: there wasn’t just one tireless couple, but two couples that worked shifts of ordinary length. The Zhanghua identical twins had married identical twin girls, making the couples almost indistinguishable from one another. Of the setup, the twin couples expressed that they were extremely happy to be running their restaurant together like one big family.
